Penguin Live presents
We regret to inform you that we have been notified that due to unforeseen circumstances Tan France's 'Naturally Tan' show here has been rescheduled to Friday 21st June 2019 - we really hope you can still make it! Your original booking will be automatically transferred to the new date. If you cannot make the new date then a full refund is available on request. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused and look forward to welcoming you to the Dancehouse soon.
Join Queer Eye's Tan France at his first ever UK public appearance as he discusses his heartfelt, funny, touching memoir Naturally Tan at the Dancehouse as part of his exclusive UK book tour.
Don't miss this fantastic and rare opportunity to hear directly from Tan, and experience his trademark wit, humour, and radical compassion, as he discusses what it was like to grow up gay in a traditional South Asian family, as one of the few people of colour in South Yorkshire. You'll hear about how he found his voice, and his style, his coming of age, and his coming out, and happily marrying the love of his life - a Mormon cowboy from Salt Lake City.
Tan will be signing books after the event.
Take the opportunity to get your hands on a copy of Naturally Tan, published by Ebury on 16th May 2019, at a discounted price (RRP £16.99) when you purchase your tickets online. Simply select the Standard Ticket and Book option. Books will be available for collection from the on-site bookshop on the night.
Tan's memoir, Naturally Tan is a collection of humorous and poignant personal essays peppered with style advice, funny lists, and the truisms that Tan has accumulated in his journey from South Yorkshire to Netflix.
In Tan's own words, 'The book is meant to spread joy, personal acceptance, and most of all understanding. Each of us is living our own private journey, and the more we know about each other, the healthier and happier the world will be.'
