We had hoped to commence renovations and a full review of the Technical Spec of the theatre itself over the winter period, with a view to reopening for productions in the late spring or summer. Unfortunately, with Manchester now in Tier 3, this work is now on hold and will need to be rescheduled.

For the time being, a decision has been taken to close the Dancehouse doors beyond our core educational activities, until at least Autumn / Winter 2021.

We are awaiting confirmation from our Promoter Partners as to whether our existing shows will be moved to an alternative venue, postponed or cancelled but a refund will now be available from your original ticket vendor upon request.

Ticket collection & payment

Ticket collection

You can collect your tickets during normal opening hours. The box office is normally open 2 hours before and 15 minutes after the start of performances. Alternatively we can post tickets by second class post to UK residents for a fee of £1.

We accept payment with most major credit and debit cards either at the theatre box office or through our online ticket agents, please note however, we cannot accept payment by cheque.

Concessionary ticket prices, when available, will appear in brackets after the full price. These are provided to students, senior citizens, under-16s, anyone receiving unemployment or disability benefit and NHS staff.

Proof of status or ID will normally be required. We always reserve the right to refuse concessionary ticket holders admission if confirmation cannot be produced.

Group discounts

These are available for selected shows, subject to availability. Please check individual show pages to check if a discount is available.

Exchanges & refunds

We'll do our best to exchange tickets for another performance of the same event, provided that you request the exchange at least 48 hours before the first performance of the show. Your original tickets must be returned to us prior to the first performance of the booked show, then we will be able to issue an exchange.

Tickets booked either direct with The Dancehouse or through Ticketline are not refundable, except in certain circumstances - please see our Terms & conditions. We may however be able to exchange tickets for a different showing of the same event. For tickets booked through other ticket agents please refer to their own individual refund policy.

We cannot however guarantee that ticket exchanges will be possible for all shows, and so the Theatre Manager's decision must be final.
