The Dancehouse theatre
is a national touring house of small to medium scale.
The auditorium, which retains its original Art Deco interior,
seats 430 in three distinct sections. The front seven
rows arranged over a 5 step shallow rake are removable.
The middle eight rows are more steeply raked and are retractable
under the remaining six rows, which are permanent. A plan view
of the auditorium seating is available on our seating
plan page.
The large flat sprung floor stage lends its self to all forms
of dance, which we actively promote, while all theatre forms
are welcomed. TV, filming, receptions and conferences can also
be accommodated.
