Hula hoop / Hoopdance

Hooping is a great alternative to aerobics. You'll improve your fitness, learn new tricks, make new friends, discover your own hoop style, choreograph your own routines and have lots of fun.

Cathy's is a mixed class from absolute beginners to advanced. Each session focuses first on the fundamentals of hooping, getting comfortable with the hoop on and off the body. Then the class concentrates on flow and hoop dance. Separate groups work on different tricks, always tailored to your level and interest.

Some former students are now professional hoop performers and many more have entered the wider and surprisingly large hoop community, often hooping with LED and fire.

Hoops are provided, just bring yourself and a bottle of water. Wear something comfortable, no need for 'gym' clothes. Most of us wear leggings and a vest or tee-shirt.

  • Drop in: 8 week courses, running October - December. Must be booked in advance, now taking enquiries for January. Private bookings also available.
