Ticket collection & payment

Ticket collection

You can collect your tickets during normal opening hours. The box office is normally open 2 hours before and 15 minutes after the start of performances. Alternatively we can post tickets to UK residents for a fee of £1.

Credit cards

Please note that there is a charge of £1 when booking tickets directly with The Dancehouse using a credit card. Debit card payments are exempt from this charge. We cannot accept payment by cheque.

Discounts

Concessions

Concessionary ticket prices, when available, will appear in brackets after the full price. These are provided to students, senior citizens, under-16s, anyone receiving unemployment or disability benefit and NHS staff.

Proof of status or ID will normally be required. We always reserve the right to refuse concessionary ticket holders admission if confirmation cannot be produced.

Group discounts

These are available for selected shows, subject to availability. Please check individual show pages to check if a discount is available.

Exchanges & refunds

Exchanges

We'll do our best to exchange tickets for another performance of the same event, provided that you request the exchange at least 48 hours before the first performance of the show. Your original tickets must be returned to us prior to the first performance of the booked show, then we will be able to issue an exchange.

Refunds

Tickets booked either direct with The Dancehouse or through Ticketline are not refundable, except in certain circumstances - please see our Terms & conditions. We may however be able to exchange tickets for a different showing of the same event.

We cannot however guarantee that ticket exchanges will be possible for all shows, and so the Theatre Manager's decision must be final.

At the theatre

When you arrive for the performance

Please arrive in good time. Latecomers may be required to wait before being seated, and in some cases will be seated at the back of the auditorium until a suitable time to take up their booked seats (normally during the interval).

Need wheelchair space?

The auditorium has space for up to ten wheelchair users with associated seating for their companions. Simply contact the box office directly to make your booking.

Age restrictions

Whilst individual visiting companies may request a different age restriction, the theatre's standard policy is:

  • Under 12s - please contact the box office for advice (unless it's for our Christmas pantomime, where we welcome little ones aged 4 and above.)
  • 12 - 16 year-olds - admitted if accompanied by an adult (21 years or older.)
  • 17 year-olds and above - permitted entry unaccompanied.
