The Dancehouse strives to provide equal
access to in house facilities, for audience and performers
alike. We recognise that providing equal access is an ongoing
process and we welcome comments and suggestions from our performers
and patrons.
A guide to the facilities we currently provide is described
below.
Please contact
the Box office if you require space for a wheelchair.
The auditorium has wheelchair space to accommodate four wheelchairs.
Wheelchair spaces are situated from the front. Level access
transferable to all row G seats on side, and the aisle of
row G in the centre. See our seating
plan for more details.
One unisex wheelchair accessible WC is situated next to the
Theatre Bar.
Guide dogs are admitted in the auditorium,
water bowls are available on request.
Audio descriptions of the performance may be available, please
enquire well in advance as special arrangements may need to
be made.
Large print programs may be available on request, please check
with the Box Office.
The Theatre auditorium has an induction
loop for people with hearing aids. Please contact the Box
Office in advance of your visit, you will also be required
to leave a deposit as a form of security.

Dropping off facilities directly outside
the theatre.
Orange badge holders may park directly outside the theatre.
The Dancehouse Theatre does not have it's own car park,
nearest car parks are situated on Charles St or Whitworth
St.
A ramp is situated at the entrance to the Dancehouse
Theatre Foyer.
For wheelchair users there is low-level
counter space at the Box Office.
Access to the upper floors can be obtained by means
of stairs or lift from the foyer. Should you require
the lift please inform an usher.
The Dancehouse reception area and
Coffee Shop can be found on the first floor. The Coffee
Shop is open on all performance nights.
The Theatre auditorium can be found
on the second floor along with the Theatre Bar. The
Theatre Bar is designated as a safe refuge in the case
of an emergency.
